Input devices

I've been a fan of the track ball for a long time. I currently use a Microsoft trackball v1.0 at work. I don't use it for gaming or photo-editing work in my photography business (I don't know why I don't, I just don't). However, I do use it in my new-ish daily job.

Thing is, that trackball I mentioned is nearly 10 years old (if not already). It used to be white, but now it's yellow. The action on the ball hasn't been great in many years, so every 2-3 days I have to take it apart and give everything inside a good cleaning.

It's getting to be annoying. I love the ergonomics of the ball, and everything feels "right". But even beyond all this, my new laptop at work doesn't have a PS2 port, and while I can pay $5.99 to get a PS/2 to USB adapter to continue using my trackball, maybe it's time to buy something new. After all, I don't think it's worth skimping on something that I touch and use everyday.

So I found this:

It's perfect. There's only one problem.

It's $480 US brand new!!

Errr, no thanks.
