all sorts of fail on a Sunday night

A bunch of people decided to watch Avatar 3D in Imax. Trouble is that theatre tickets have been sold out for a week.

So when we finally got tickets online for Sunday 7pm showing, we were of course, stoked.

Thing is, some of us wanted to line up at the theater for good seats at 5:30pm, most everybody got there at 6:30, but most importantly, the guy who bought the tickets didn't make it downtown until well past 7pm.

We were actually lucky enough to talk the manager into letting us sit in the theater even without actual tickets, but by then (6:45pm-ish) the theater was jam packed, and we didn't want to sit way up in the front.

Worse, we paid $8 for parking (being downtown and all), so when it's all said and done, we went back uptown to eat.

Funniest thing? We didn't buy the tickets from the theater's online site, instead getting it from a third party service - movietickets.ca. What that meant was the theater didn't actually recognize these tickets, so we didn't get a refund - instead getting a free pass for the next time we went to watch instead.

Fail at every level.
