back in the jack, jack

So stupid Rogers Cable decided to do a random check on my box, and realized I wasn't on any Roger's services. I don't have Rogers TV cable or internet from them. Therefore, in all their great wisdom, they decided to disconnect me from the Roger's box that sits outside the house.

That's why I haven't had internet for the last week.

Well now I'm back. Back baby!

digital brown out

Just a quick update. I haven't had home internet since Friday. At first because I thought lapsed in my payment, but after calling my provider, they assured me that I'm up to date and do not owe.

As far as I know, I didn't cut the cable (again). For whatever reason though, I'm not connected.

It feels weird not to have internet at home. It's a good and bad thing altogether. It finally allows me to watch TV shows I've downloaded but never had the time to sit through, just because something else was about to finish downloading.

Lack of choice is a good thing.

I'm flying, jack.

I spent Saturday stripping a wooden deck. It was very fun - I mean, if fun was staying on your hands and knees for 8 hours, scrubbing back and forth with a plastic sponge and solvent that says clearly on the label, "May cause skin burn", (which by the way, I confirmed with my own knees) then yes, it was a blast!

Actually it was horrible. It turns out the only thing one really needs to strip old deck stain is to use a power washer. Instead, we did it the slow way. Joy!

Oddly enough, I'm not as tired as everyone else. It could be because I've been working out relatively regularly again for the last three months. Chances are, I didn't work as hard as the rest. Ha!

Anyway, note take. NEVER own a wooden deck. It's just not worth it.
