check

I have decided that I'm not a computer chess player. As much as I enjoy the idea of playing chess anytime I want, I just don't enjoy to play vs. computer. Partly is because I'm terrible, and it seems like even at basic setting, I'm handed a butt-whooping, but that's probably because I have no patience.

See that's the crux of the issue. Because I don't need to "wait", I end up playing blind speed chess. I don't ever consider the consequences, I only move the next piece that sort of makes sense. And in term, as my Dad would say in Cantonese: "Mock Gw-on Jue" (make you as naked as a pig without hair). Any words, remove all my pieces until I have only the king left.

Now, I'm finally playing chess over the internet with a friend, and I have to say it's a lot more fun. Even though it's been 3 days and we've yet to finish a game, I find I can slow down, plan my moves, but more importantly, think about the consequences.

I'll probably still lose, but at least it's better than losing quickly.
